The wines of Château Grand-Puy Ducasse are recognized by experts as one of the best in the appellation of Pauillac. This Artigues Arnaud prooves them right. It was under the label Artuges Arnaud that this wine was officially classified in 1855. The manual harvest takes place by selecting only the best grapes for fermentation, by following a very rigid set of rules. The 40 ha of vineyards of this Château are divided into 3 great parcels. In the north, the vineyards border on the vineyards of Mouton, Lafitte and Pontet-Canet. In the south, they are situated on the plâteau of Saint-Lambert. The yield is limited to 40 hl/ha and the average age of the vines for the Artigues Arnaud lies between 5 and 15 years. Every year, 40 % of the oak barrels used are replaced. |
